Our first release event

Our first release event

Book fairs and seminars have taken a lot of our time last spring together with building up our bookstore – but now time has come to tell you a lot more about our doings as things happen. The picture you can see is from our release event on Friday September 6 of Systime’s book “Lær dansk med tv-serier” by Knud Øllgaard and Leila Al-Zagheer Solgaard from Systime. From the turnout it will be a must-have at Sprogskolerne all over the country telling the students about Danish way of life with a visual impact. The picture from the reception was taken by Knud Øllgaard’s daughter Signe Øllgaard!

Next weekend – on September 14 – 15 – we shall be at Esbjerg Hovedbiblioteks Fantasy festival telling about our Harry Potter glossaries for people with a basic knowledge of English. It is our second appearance there – but it is truly a place for lovers of all kinds of fantasy like games, roleplay, films, etc. – there is free entrance to the main hall and the outside grounds. For special activities you need to pay….. you can read more here: http://fantasyfestival.esbjergkommune.dk/da-dk/billetter

In October we shall go to the Frankfurt book fair – also to tell about our German edition of our Harry Potter glossaries and our material for learning Danish in Germany – and in November you can find us in Bella Centret to the big Danish book fair.

In our window we have put our German books with glossaries – like Brothers Grimm,Thomas Mann, Alfred Andersch or Max Frisch to celebrate Golden Days in Copenhagen. We have even put three golden stars from Hernnhuterne in the “German” window.

However, as you can see we are quite busy – but our everyday routine in the bookstore is calm and there we do our best to help you find the right material.  You may go on DU1, DU2 or DU3 and want some books that may take you further, whether it is grammar or literature to boost your vocabulary. It may be overwhelming to find the right material on the Internet but we recommend you come down and see the material for yourself to make the right choice. We speak English, German and French – but will do our best to help you in Danish.
